1.
1. When morning gilds the skies, my heart awaking cries: May Jesus Christ be praised. Alike at work and prayer to Jesus I repair: May Jesus Christ be praised. 2. When sleep her balm denies, my silent spirit sighs: May Jesus Christ be praised. When evil thoughts oppress, with this I shield my breast: May Jesus Christ be praised. 3. Does sadness fill my mind? A solace here I find: May Jesus Christ be praised. Or fades my earthly bliss? My comfort still is this: May Jesus Christ be praised. 4. In heav'n's eternal bliss the loveliest strain is this: May Jesus Christ be praised. The powers of darkness fear, when this sweet chant they hear: May Jesus Christ be praised. 5. Be this, while life is mine, my canticle divine: May Jesus Christ be praised: Be this th'eternal song, through all the ages on: May Jesus Christ be praised.
2.
Out of my distress I called. I called to the Lord, he answered me, and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. The Lord is on my side; what can man do to me?
3.
1. Poor sinner, dejected with fear,
 Unbosom thy mind to the Lamb; No wrath on His brow He does wear, Nor will He poor mourners condemn;
 His arm of omnipotent grace Is able and willing to save; A sweet and a permanent peace
 He’ll freely and faithfully give. 2. Come just as thou art with thy woe,
 Fall down at the feet of the Lamb; He will not, He cannot say, “Go”,
 But surely will take out thy stain.
 A fountain is opened for sin,
 And thousands its virtues have proved; He’ll take thee, and plunge thee therein, And wash thee from filth in His blood. 3. The soul that on Jesus relies,
 He’ll never, no never deceive;
 He freely and faithfully gives More blessings than we can conceive; Yea, down to old age He will keep, Nor will He forsake us at last;
 He knows and is known by His sheep; They’re His, and He will hold them fast.

In the Hours 03:30
1. In the hours of pain and sorrow, When the world brings no relief, When the eye is dim and heavy, And the heart oppressed with grief; While blessings flee, Savior Lord we trust in thee, Savior Lord we trust in thee! 2. When the snares of death surround us: Pride, ambition, love of ease, Money with its false allurements, Words that flatter, smiles that please; Then ere we yield, Savior Lord be thou our shield, Savior Lord be thou our shield. 3. Thou the hated and forsaken, Thou the bearer of the cross, Crowned of thorns and mocked and smitten, Counting earthly gain but loss: When scorned are we, we joy to be like thee, We joy to be more like thee! 4. Thou the Father’s best beloved, Thou the throned and sceptered King; Who but thee should we adoring, All our prayers and praises bring? So blessed are we, Savior Lord in loving thee, Savior Lord in loving thee, Savior Lord in loving thee.
5.
1. A debtor to mercy alone, Of covenant mercy I sing; Nor fear, with Thy righteousness on, My person and off’ring to bring. The terrors of law and of God With me can have nothing to do; My Savior’s obedience and blood Hide all my transgressions from view. 2. The work which His goodness began, The arm of His strength will complete; His promise is Yea and Amen, And never was forfeited yet. Things future, nor things that are now, Not all things below nor above, Can make Him His purpose forgo, Or sever my soul from His love. 3. My name from the palms of His hands Eternity will not erase; Impressed on His heart it remains, In marks of indelible grace. Yes, I to the end shall endure, As sure as the earnest is giv’n; More happy, but not more secure, The glorified spirits in heav’n.
6.
1. O my distrustful heart, how small the faith appears, But greater, Lord, thou art than all my doubts and fears. Did Jesus once upon me shine? Then Jesus is for ever mine. 2. Unchangeable his will whatever be my frame, His loving heart is still eternally the same. My soul through many changes goes, His love no variation knows. 3. Thou, Lord, will carry on, and perfectly perform The work thou hast begun in me, a sinful one. ‘Midst all my fear and sin and woe Thy Spirit will not let me go. 4. The fountain of thy grace at first did freely move, I still shall see thy face and feel that God is love. My soul into thy arms I cast, I trust I shall be saved at last!
7.
1. Even my friend, my dear friend in whom my trust was real; The one who ate my bread has turned and lifted up his heel. But you, O Lord, be merciful and raise me in your grace. 2. By this I know that I am held as precious in your eyes: My foes may not raise over me their glad exulting cries. But you, O Lord, be merciful and raise me in your grace.

9.
1. Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish, Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel. Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish; O, earth has no sorrow heav'n can't heal, O, earth has no sorrow heav'n can't heal. 2. Joy of the comfortless, light of the straying, Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure! Here speaks the Comforter, in mercy saying, “O, earth has no sorrow heav'n can't cure, O, earth has no sorrow heav'n can't cure.” 3. Here see the Bread of Life, see waters flowing Forth from the throne of God, pure from above. Come to the feast prepared; come, ever knowing O, earth has no sorrow heav'n can't remove, O, earth has no sorrow heav'n can't remove.
10.
1. Come Lord, and tarry not; Bring the long-looked-for day; O why these years of waiting here, These ages of delay? 2. Come, for thy saints still wait; Daily ascends their sigh: The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come”: Dost thou not hear the cry? O come, and make all things new; Come, and make all things new. O come, and make all things new. Build up this ruined earth; Come, and make all things new. 3. Come, for creation groans, Impatient of thy stay, Worn out with these long years of woe, These ages of delay. 4. Come, for love waxes cold, Its steps are faint and slow; Faith now is lost in unbelief, Hope’s lamp burns dim and low. O come, and make all things new; Come, and make all things new. O come, and make all things new. Build up this ruined earth; Come, and make all things new.
11.
1. May the mind of Christ, my Savior, Live in me from day to day, By his love and pow’r controlling All I do and say. 2. May the Word of God dwell richly In my heart from hour to hour, So that all may see I triumph Only through his pow’r. 3. May the peace of God, my Father, Rule my life in everything, That I may be calm to comfort Sick and sorrowing. 4. May the love of Jesus fill me, As the waters fill the sea; Him exalting, self abasing: This is victory. 5. May I run the race before me, Strong and brave to face the foe, Looking only unto Jesus As I onward go.
12.
1. The day you gave us, Lord, is ended, The darkness falls at your behest; To you our morning hymns ascended, Your praise shall hallow now our rest. 2. We thank you that your church, unsleeping, While earth rolls onward into light, Through all the world her watch is keeping, And rests not now by day or night. 3. As o’er each continent and island The dawn leads on another day, The voice of prayer is never silent, Nor dies the strain of praise away. 4. The sun that bids us rest is waking Our brethren ’neath the western sky, And hour by hour fresh lips are making Your wondrous doings heard on high. 5. So be it, Lord; your throne shall never, Like earth’s proud empires, pass away: Your kingdom stands, and grows forever, Till all your creatures own your sway.
